Our teachers

Every brainflex class is taught by an NIE-trained teacher

Either a currently serving MOE teacher, or an ex-MOE teacher. That is the bar for everyone who teaches here — no undergraduates, no part-time tutors working from a guidebook.

What "NIE-trained" actually means in practice

It's a credential parents hear often and rarely see unpacked. Here is what it buys your child, concretely.

Syllabus fluency

They know the MOE syllabus as a sequence, not a list of topics — what a P4 concept is quietly setting up for P5, and which earlier gap is usually behind a P6 mistake. That's what lets them work backwards from a wrong answer to its real cause.

Exam-format familiarity

They have marked papers to the actual rubric. They know how method marks are awarded, where working must be shown, how questions are phrased to catch a careless reader, and the difference between an answer that is right and an answer that scores.

Real classroom experience

They have taught full classes of thirty primary students, which means they've seen the same misconception hundreds of times across hundreds of children. Pattern recognition of that depth cannot be read up on.

Trained, not just knowledgeable

NIE training is pedagogy training — how to explain, sequence, question and check for understanding. Knowing primary Math is easy. Teaching an eleven-year-old who has already decided he's bad at it is the actual skill.

The guarantee

What you can expect from any brainflex teacher

Regardless of who is assigned to your child's group.

They watch how your child works, not just what they answer

Every brainflex teacher runs the same five-stage method: assess, diagnose, target, practise, review. The diagnosis stage is non-negotiable regardless of who is teaching.

Groups of five, so your child is spoken to by name

No teacher we assign is managing a crowd. Class size is capped so every child is questioned directly in every lesson.

Written notes after each session

Attendance, what was covered, what the teacher noticed, and what comes next — visible in your parent dashboard. You are never guessing what happened in class.

The same standard, whoever is assigned

If a teacher covers a session, the method, the class size, the reporting and the credential bar are identical. Consistency is the point of having a method at all.
