Primary 6 English Tuition — Live Online, Groups of 5
For Primary 6 students (typically 12 years old, sitting the PSLE this year). Children sitting PSLE English who need paper technique, timing and composition structure tightened alongside language accuracy.
MOE syllabus alignment
Fully aligned to the MOE Primary 6 English Language syllabus (STELLAR-based). Reading and comprehension, grammar and vocabulary, writing and oral communication are taught to MOE expectations and exam formats, so the work supports school assessments directly.
What we cover at Primary 6
- PSLE Paper 1: situational writing to purpose, audience and context, plus continuous writing
- PSLE-format composition: three-picture prompt, planning under time, structuring to the climax
- Paper 2 Booklet A: grammar MCQ, vocabulary MCQ and visual text comprehension strategy
- Paper 2 Booklet B: grammar cloze, editing, comprehension cloze and synthesis & transformation
- Synthesis & transformation: the full set of PSLE patterns (passive, reported speech, conditionals, relative clauses)
- Advanced comprehension: inferential and evaluative answers, and 'in your own words' rephrasing
- Answer-technique drills: mark allocation, keyword lifting and avoiding lifted-answer penalties
- Vocabulary and idiom banks that can actually be deployed under exam time
- PSLE oral: reading aloud with pronunciation and pace, and stimulus-based conversation
- Full-paper timing practice under PSLE conditions with mark-by-mark analysis

How the brainflex method works at Primary 6
- 01
Assess
Full PSLE-format diagnosis: Paper 1 writing, Paper 2 booklets A and B, and oral, plus timing under paper conditions.
- 02
Diagnose
We separate language accuracy loss from technique and timing loss — they are repaired in completely different ways.
- 03
Target
Effort concentrates on the highest-weight sections your child is losing most marks in, PSLE band by band.
- 04
Practise
Timed past-year-format papers, composition planning drills, and oral reading and conversation rehearsal.
- 05
Review
Mark breakdowns after each paper, with a visible week-by-week plan into the PSLE.
The full five-stage cycle is explained on the method page.

Common FAQ
Is it too late to start in PSLE year?
No — but the plan changes. We diagnose fast, target the highest-weight weak components, and run exam technique alongside content.
Do you use past-year format papers?
Yes, in full PSLE format and under exam timing from term two, with mark-by-mark analysis after each paper.
How is PSLE oral prepared?
Weekly reading-aloud practice for pronunciation and pace, plus rehearsed stimulus-based conversation so answers are developed, not one-line.
What if my child freezes on the composition?
We teach a fixed opening routine — read the three pictures, choose one, plan four boxes — so there is always a first move to make.
How many children are in one class?
Five. Primary 6 classes are capped at 5 students so the teacher can speak to your child by name in every session. We only stretch to 7 when a student joins for a make-up lesson.
Can we try before committing?
Yes. Start with the S$20 Learning Gap Assessment — a real live session where a teacher works with your child and reports back on exactly what is missing.
